Do I need a LAN input on my router to connect to the Keemple controller?

No, the Keemple system can be connected to your router via WiFi. For such a connection, we suggest placing the controller within range of the router.
*The controller can only connect to the 2.4 Ghz network.

Can I remove access to the system for previous users, e.g. tenants?

Yes As the main account connected to the gateway in the Keemple 2.0 app, you can add new users as “Family” or “Friend” and define the scope of features made available to the other users. Take a look at the tutorial video on our YouTube channel – LINK

Can I install the Keemple app on multiple devices?

Yes, the Keemple app can be installed on multiple devices (phones, tablets). Android or iOS is required.

Do all Keemple devices need to be connected to electricity?

No, some devices are battery powered (including door and window sensors, thermostats, motion sensors). Depending on energy consumption, the battery life is approximately 2 years, but in the case of thermostats, we recommend replacing the batteries before each heating season to ensure the proper functioning of the devices.

Can I record the image seen by the camera?

Yes, this is possible. Simply place the micro SD card in the appropriate place in the camera and then configure the recording function. It is also possible to record the image you are watching “live”, in which case it is stored in your phone’s memory. However, this option is only possible while looking at the image, once you exit the device menu the image stops being recorded.

Is Keemple a paid app?

No, it can be downloaded free of charge. The app is compatible with Android and iOS; it can be downloaded multiple times.

Does the installation of the Keemple system affect the condition of the flat?

Our installation is completely non-invasive, no drilling, no hammering, no holes in the walls; all devices connect wirelessly.

Can I create my own scenario?

Yes, the app is designed in such a way that each user can easily create new scenarios. Should you have any problems, our experts will be happy to help you implement a new scenario.

What wiring is needed to install the light switches?

According to the IEC 60346 standard, all electrical boxes for Keemple devices must be equipped with a neutral (N) wire. The absence of the wire makes their installation impossible.

The installation of light switches, blind controllers and dimmers with a touch panel will only be possible in electrical boxes with a depth of 60 mm. It is necessary to leave a free space of at least 25 mm in the box (not counting the wires).

The range of the Z-Wave network is approx. 15 m. It is possible to extend the range of the network or to strengthen it by adding devices powered by electricity, which will then become relays (repeaters).

What if I cannot find an installer in my location?

Installers have different, often wide activity ranges. Even if there are no Installers available on the map in your immediate area, we encourage you to contact some of those located within the shortest distance of your location.

Is the device warranty valid from the date of purchase in the shop or from the date of installation by a certified installer?

The device warranty is valid from the date of receipt of the order.

What are double plates required for and when do I need to buy them?

Panel dimensions are: length 170 mm x width 85 mm. They are used with a double installation box, which must have a diameter and depth of 60 mm. A detailed diagram is available in the technical requirements available on our website.

Can you calculate how many and which devices are needed for my project based on the electrical installation plans I sent you?

What kind of valve should my radiator have?

The smart thermostat can be installed on a radiator equipped with a Danfoss RA or K valve (30/1.5 diameter valve) that complies with the product specifications.

Are there any devices in colours other than white?

Keemple devices are available in white, except for the double plates and the universal infrared controller.

Do our thermostats support underfloor heating (including heating mats, underfloor radiators)?

No, our thermostats do not support underfloor heating.

In the event of an Internet failure, will I be able to use devices such as switches normally?

Switches and thermostats operate manually just like their classic replacements, so in the event of an Internet outage or temporary failure, they can continue to be switched on and off manually.

Do you have triple/quadruple plates?

At the moment our offer does not include triple and quadruple plates. Please refer to the technical requirements available on our website for a diagram of how to use the switches and plates available in our offer for more complex installations.

How does the four-way and two-way function work in smart switches?

The two-way and four-way function requires installation by our Installer due to the specific connection of the devices.
