Smart socket – how does it work?

Once the socket has been selected, you can install our device and then connect the electronic equipment of your choice to it. Next, after adding the smart socket to our free Keemple 2.0 app, you can remotely switch on or off the devices connected to it, and track your power consumption. The maximum load it can handle is up to 2,500 watts. Our socket communicates over a Z-Wave network. Although the Z-Wave network is optimised for energy saving, it is able to transmit data quickly. What can the smart socket be used for?

It is perfect for switching on or off devices connected to the plug. This makes it very easy to remotely turn on and off a radio, humidifier or iron. The socket can also be one of the components of a smart lighting system by plugging in, for example, lights or luminous decorations. When connected to the Keemple 2.0 app, the socket also allows remote device management and scenario creation. It is the scenarios and schedules that allow the equipment to operate more economically and safely.

The smart socket can be added to the Keemple KP-GW-07 Gateway and can be used to its full potential using the Keemple 2.0 app.
